In Ireland, a Shebeen was an illicit drinking den, an after hours speakeasy where once inside, people found good familiar conversation, drink, friends and food. Fascinating history surrounds these shebeens that always offered excitement for local patrons and will forever be a part of Irish lore. Now, we bring this excitement to you. Here at The Auld Shebeen, the familiar faces you know will be introducing unique new events, menu items and more. We look forward to sharing good times with you all!

Our Menu is based on both traditional Irish recipes and American cuisine. We are open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week with Sunday brunch coming soon. Our house specialties include our Tullamore Whiskey NY Strip Steak, Roast Rack of Lamb with a red wine demi glaze sauce, Galway Bay Baked Salmon in a lemon beurre blanc sauce with many others including many traditional Irish pub favorites.

So whether it is for a few quiet pints after work or a special evening out, here at the Auld Shebeen we will do our utmost to make your visit with us a pleasant one.

If it is more of a party atmosphere you are looking for we have The Auld Shebeen Cellar, open Tuesday through Saturday. We feature live bands, D.J., Dancing, Karoke, Texas Hold-Em so if it is late night entertainment you are looking for join us in the Cellar.

PRIVATE PARTIES

Here at the Auld Shebeen we can cater to parties of all types and sizes. Whether it is small after work get together or larger groups up to 200 in a private room with a full service bar with the option of a DJ or band. We offer a full selection of both traditional Irish and American fare available catered or as a buffet.

If it is a dinner party, we can offer smaller groups up to 28 the library, a semi-private room in the restaurant with a fireplace or up to 100 people in a private room with a full service bar.

Our menu and rates are very flexible and can manage to work with most budgets; some sample menus are available and please do not hesitate in contacting a manager to discuss your specific needs or to make an appointment to view the restaurant.

Thursday May 15th

The Auld Shebeen 1st Annual Leigh Banting Memorial Golf Tournament. The Auld Shebeen is proud to support  Growing Hope, an organization that provides supportive, non-medical care to children with cancer and their families. The tournament will be held at Faifax National Golf Club, with 100% of the funds going to Growing Hope. Join us at the Shebeen after the tournament for food, festivities, and raffles. Traditional Irish Music.

Here at The Auld Shebeen we feature great live traditional Irish music every Friday and Saturday evening from 7-9.30pm in the restaurant. 

April Traditional Irish:

Fri 25th & Sat 26th "Celtic Marc"

Every Saturday morning (except the first Saturday in the month) from 12-2pm you can listen to a traditional Irish session, local musicians practicing and playing Irish music in the restaurant.

Coming, Sunday April 20th, Spotlight on the Arts presents "Bluegrass Bonanza"! Join us from 6-9 PM for 3 great live local bluegrass acts. $10 Cover charge going to Spotlight on the Arts.

The Cellar

At The Auld Shebeen we have what we call "The Cellar". On Fridays we feature great live local bands as well as bands from all over the east coast. The bands  start at 10pm and finish at 1.30pm. We also have DJs, Karaoke, and Texas Hold-Em tournaments, so there is always something happening in the Cellar. So check our calendar for schedule. This room is also available for private parties and functions. Contact a manager for details.
